San Francisco, CA – Zynga today announced the beta launch of its first internationally localized game, Zynga Texas Poker, in traditional Chinese. Zynga Poker, the company’s first game, launched in July 2007 and the third most popular game on Facebook globally with more than 28 million people playing monthly, is now available on Facebook in Hong Kong and Taiwan as Zynga Texas Poker.

Zynga Poker, the world's largest poker game, allows players to test their skill for free against other players around the world in traditional Chinese or in English. Players enter the casino lobby and have the option to play at any table, meet new people from around the world, or join friends for a game. Players choose from casual Hold 'Em tables, tournament play or VIP tables. A leader board shows players how they compare in chip ranking to other players and allows players to send or receive gifts. Also available to players is the ability to personalize their seat at the table by visiting the gift shop.

Leader board

Players compare how they rank against their friends based on their chip stacks. The bigger the stack, the closer someone is to being a Poker star. Zynga Texas Poker hosts a weekly contest that ends each Sunday. The weekly winner is crowned the champion and receives a big chip prize and virtual crown which displays on the leader board. The more friends players have in the weekly contest, the more chips they might win.

Hold 'Em tables

Hold 'Em tables are the most casual table options for Zynga Texas Poker players. Players can sneak in a quick hand during free moments throughout the day or stay as long as they like by playing as many hands as they want. Players select their betting stakes – from betting a lot to a little.

Real Prizes

Play for free and win real money, prizes, and trips. To welcome players to our beta launch, Zynga is giving away a trip to Las Vegas for one lucky player and his/her three best friends. Every week all Zynga Texas Poker players are entered to win real prizes. Additional entries are granted for each friend players bring to the game.

Tournaments

Zynga Texas Poker features the original "ShootOut" multi-table tournament. Each round of the tournament includes a single table with nine players. Players must win each round to move onto the next round. Players that win three rounds receive $500,000 chips and become eligible to play in a final show down for a big real cash prize. Gift Shop

The gift shop allows players to show their style by personalizing and decorating their seats at the poker table. They create and show-off you’re their poker personas by purchasing virtual items including pets, drinks, country flags, and collectibles. Group Challenges

There are many ways for players to test their skill and strategy in Zynga Texas Poker. They can team up with their poker friends to complete challenges together by finishing time sensitive poker tasks. Challenges include winning a hand, "hat tricks" (winning three hands in a row), and "risky business" (going "all in" - betting all your chips - and winning). Groups that complete the tasks share the prize winnings.

Collections

Zynga Texas Poker gives players the chance to earn collectible items every time they play. They earn items to complete the collection set and claim their prizes which include chips and rare gift shop items.
