The holidays are a good time to recall that it feels real good to do some good.
 
Zynga has launched its Oh, What Fun holiday giving campaign to benefit Toys for Tots, a 65-year-old organization that provides the gift of a new toy or book to children in need. From November 28, 2012 to December 31, 2012, players of seven of our most popular games, including Words With Friends and FarmVille, will be able to make in-game purchases for special items…with 100 percent of the price tag going directly to Toys for Tots.
 
It's a wondrous concept: You get to play your favorite game—and give kids across the U.S. the gift of play. It’s like the entire Zynga community has a chance to work together as happy elves.

“It’s now easier than ever for people to help children less fortunate this holiday season,” says retired Marine Corps Major Bill Grein, Vice President of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
 
In total, seven Zynga games are participating in the campaign, the first major digital fundraising program for Toys for Tots and a creative way for millions of Zynga players to contribute directly to a great cause by purchasing holiday-themed goods and power packs; participate in themed quests or make mobile text donations. Here’s a taste of the Fun: 

     A CityVille Toy Shop where you can craft and wrap toys to be delivered to children

     A CastleVille Sparkling Royal Tower to decorate your winter kingdom

     A chance to text TOYS in between whipping up Draw Something masterpieces to make a $5 donation; text JOY to contribute $10
