What User Information Does Zynga Have?
Zynga collects information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We require a subpoena, court order or other valid legal process to provide any information about our users.
Most of the information Zynga collects comes from the social network on which the Zynga game is played. For instance, when a user plays Zynga Poker on Facebook we may access or collect information about the user from their Facebook account such as their name or gender. Zynga has limited access to social network profiles; therefore we suggest Law Enforcement request send requests regarding profile information directly to the relevant social network.
For users who have made payments in Zynga games we collect information such as their Billing Address, Email, IP Address and other information in order to verify the payment.
For users who do not make payments, information available would likely be limited.
How long does Zynga retain user data?
Zynga retains different information for different amounts of time. Data crucial to Zynga's business operations such as payment information, customer service records and game statistics may be available for longer periods of time. Data non-crucial to Zynga's business operations, such as in-game messages and chat between users may be stored for a very brief period of time.
Preservation requests sent to Zynga must be signed, include a valid return address and sent on proper letterhead from a law enforcement agency.
Does Zynga notify users of information requests?
Zynga may notify users of requests for their information prior to disclosure unless prohibited by statute or court order.
